Purse- Impressions is thrilled to announce the opening of a Charity Boutique located with their new corporate offices at Mariachi Plaza in Carefree, AZ.
Purse-Impressions is on a mission to provide graduates from substance abuse recovery programs with a purse or backpack to, not only celebrate their accomplishment, but allow them to move forward with a sense of dignity
In just over a year the nonprofit organization has grown to include 5-chapter locations in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, DC Metropolitan Area and Canada, supporting 10 rehab facilities in those locations. Expanding, with the opening of a new corporate office and working Charity Boutique, was the next logical step for the company
Purse-Impressions honors the life of Courtney Elizabeth Michaels, founder Patricia Brusha’s daughter. Suddenly and tragically at 28 years old, Courtney was diagnosed with Stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver from years of alcohol abuse. A few months later, on June 4,2019, her addiction took her life.
As she struggled to recover from substance abuse, Courtney told her mother Patricia, about an idea. “She didn't like the fact that female rehab graduates often left with their personal items in a plastic bag,” said Brusha. “She wanted better for them. She wanted those women to hold their heads high, to be proud of their amazing accomplishment and leave with something that showed their value.”
In less than 1 year they have donated 1200 purses & backpacks to graduates of rehab! Having outgrown the space in Patricia's house, and needing a place large enough to prepare their fresh start bags for donating, Purse-Impressions chose Mariachi Plaza as their new home!
“We are excited to open a working Charity Boutique to help us raise money to fill our bags, while supporting the local economy of Cave Creek/Carefree,” stated Patricia, “Our vision is to sell Purses, Jewelry and Accessories with 100% of the sales supporting Purse-Impressions”.
To support this non-profit organization, the community can donate purses, backpacks, personal care items or make a monetary contribution.
